This 6,950-yard par 71 layouts will test the abilities of any golfer. Additionally, the beauty of the natural landscape makes it an entirely unique experience. This is an opportunity to play a course that has the amenities of a private club, but for a daily rate. This should be at the top of your list!
Ironhorse Golf Club
Ironhorse is another one of the Kansas City golf courses that have been given top honors in the whole state. Located in Leawood, near the border of Missouri and Kansas you'll find this spectacular championship layout. You can expect some of the best playing conditions around Kansas City, and they also boast a nice practice facility to warm up. Overall, you can expect exceptional service at this facility since is managed by the famed Troon organization.
Falcon Valley Golf Course
If you are looking to play a quick nine holes, look no further than the Falcon Valley golf course. It is considered one of the best nine-hole courses in the entire Midwest for good reason - locals constantly rave about its quality and reasonable greens fees. You can expect a challenging test as the course features several blind shots and faster greens.
Stone Canyon Golf Club
Greg Norman designed this beautiful course located just outside of the city in Blue Springs. Stone Canyon always gets a mention as one of the best Kansas City Golf courses because it has one of the most impressive layouts and the course is always in great shape. You'll be treated to a mixture of hole designs with some generous fairways and then others that require accurate shotmaking. Simply put, this should be on your list of courses to play in the area.
Winterstone Golf Course
Winterstone was built on a plot of land that was once a limestone mine. It provides a stunning backdrop that gives you the impression of the famous Ozarks region - plenty of trees, elevation changes, and natural water landscape. It has quickly become one of the best Kansas City golf courses over the last decade. If you're looking for some great exercise you should consider walking the difficult terrain (also to soak in nature).
The Golf Club at Falcon Lakes
Rounding out our list of Kansas City golf courses is the Golf Club at Falcon Lakes. This is an opportunity to play a links-style course from famed architect Jay Morrish. You can play the course from distances ranging from 5,200 to 7,100 yards, which makes it a layout for all levels of golfers. More importantly, they pride themselves on fast play and you can expect to finish your round in under 4 1/2 hours!
