Golf Subscription Box Guide: 8 Companies You Should Know About

golf subscription box

Subscription e-commerce has been a steadily building trend in the online market, growing more than 100% over the past five years. You probably already have a subscription like Netflix or Hulu for digital media, or maybe you get goods regularly delivered through services like Dollar Shave Club or Amazon. But what if you wanted a package full of golf surprises? There are now plenty of golf subscription box services available.

In this guide, we’ll show you a handful of companies offering golf-specific boxes delivered directly to your door and what you can expect when you subscribe.

Swinger Box

Swinger Box designs and manufactures all the gear in their shipments, which means you won’t accidentally end up wearing the same polo as your playing partners or get stuck with over-stock items.

When you subscribe, you set up a player profile, telling Swinger Box about your style (classic, modern, or bold) and sizes. Boxes are curated based on your likes and season and shipped monthly to your doorstep.

Subscriptions range from $10-$65/month. With it, you’ll get “thoughtful, useful and unique items that can’t be found anywhere else.”

Short Par 4

If you’re looking for a name brand experience, Short Par 4 may be an excellent golf subscription box. Toting up to 60% off retail price, they promise to bring you premium gear without leaving the house.

Membership can be curated by the likes of Rickie Fowler or Wesley Bryan, or you can pick a more budget-friendly package with your style profile. Packages go for anywhere between $45-$125/month.

Birdie Bundle

Birdie Bundle stands out as one of the unique options for golf subscription boxes. You fill out a 13-point survey to build your profile, and they select individualized products to match your style and game. The variety of options include subscriptions for ladies, items collected from golf destinations, and learning aids selected by an on-staff PGA teaching professional.

You’ll get name-brand gear along with some Birdie Bundle merch to show your pride. Subscriptions can be delivered monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or seasonal, so you’re less likely to get overwhelmed by too many packages.

Prices range from $49.95-$99.95/box plus shipping.

High Side Golf

Maybe getting a new polo every month isn’t your thing, but you’re still tired of paying pro shop prices for golf balls, tees, and gloves. High Side Golf can keep you restocked throughout your season. You get to build your monthly box with essentials and won’t have to worry about running out of the basics.

One neat feature of their subscription is pausing or canceling with a single text. If your season gets shortened by some October snow or you just didn’t golf as much as you wanted to last month, now you don’t have to jump through hoops to stop the boxes from showing up.

Since you build the box getting shipped, prices may vary. Average cost is $31, an average savings of 15% off regular price for the same items.

Tee Box Club

Tee Box Club offers a similar essentials package with a twist!  Most of the focus is on restocking your golf balls with mint condition, used balls. We know used balls perform just like a fresh sleeve, so save yourself some green!

Memberships run from $13.99-$27.99/month, and you can add a glove for just $12 more. Skip or cancel shipments at any time.

Mullybox

Another fun accessory golf subscription box is Mullybox. This one is about as straightforward as golf subscription boxes get: one subscription option, one price, fun stuff delivered monthly.

For just $29/month you’re guaranteed over $60 worth of value. Every package comes with golf balls, tees, and three accessories selected by the team the at Mullybox.

Bogeybox Golf Club

The last two subscriptions services are tailored to updating your wardrobe. Listen, we’re all getting bored with seeing you in that dingy, white polo and ill-fitting khaki shorts.

Bogeybox Golf Club can freshen up that look by giving you options to pick from. You get style advice from a real person (not a survey or algorithm), and you send back anything that you don’t like or doesn’t fit. Best of all you only pay for what you keep.

If you need pants, they’ll only send your pants to try. You can choose to get shipments regularly or whenever you like, and you’re never automatically charged.

The average price point is $89 per item. You let them know how much you are comfortable paying, and they can help make selections within your budget.

My Golf Locker

Along the same line, My Golf Locker will fill your hangers with all the brands you know within your price range. No subscription fees, no try-on fees, no minimum purchase. You keep and pay for whatever you like, and ship everything else back for free.

Price depends entirely on how much you want to spend!

Which Golf Subscription Box Is Right For You?

There are plenty of options for you to choose from, whether you just need more balls and tees or you’re looking to replace your entire closet. With so many companies offering options, try different subscriptions to find out what works best for you.

A golf subscription box is a great way to try new things and keep your game looking clean. Recurring boxes also make fantastic gifts for other golfers in your life or pin prizes at your fundraising tournament. They are the gifts that keep on giving, subscription required!

I have been getting ShortPar4 for over a year now. I have to say that I am impressed overall with the service. I was an early adopter so my price is $29.95/month and last month I received a nice polo and pants from the brand Chase 54. Both are excellent quality and I have been pleased overall. Every month is different as far as contents but you are guaranteed to get at least $65 worth of gear (I think). Last month I got a nice pair of shorts, a Puma Hat (the new one that Rickie wears) which my son promptly stole, a nylon woven belt that stretches (it’s pretty awesome) and some sweat inserts for hats that supposedly reduce those sweat stains we all get in the summer. I haven’t tried those yet but they seem pretty interesting. They also ship you a poker chip/ball marker every month so I have been building quite a collection.

I have also gotten their gloves in some boxes which I really like. They have shipped me Callaway Shoes, Under Armour long sleeve 1/4 zip pullovers, and various other brand name clothes. You can also exchange what you don’t like for other gear and they give you full retail value for the items. The only down side is that it costs $12.95 to send everything back but they will ship you new stuff for free as replacements.

Stay far away from Swinger Golf Box.
Read the one star reviews on Cratejoy.

The company is shady and doesn’t send all boxes ordered.

They also make sure any attempts to login are either not working or disabled.

They do everything to take your money and either stop shipping remaining boxes or claim it’s on the way, which isn’t true.

Forget about getting a refund and sadly they have a habit of charging and using your account to sign you back up for things you never ordered.

Truely a nightmare, wish we would have known how utterly pathetic they are as well as their vitriol they spew when caught charging for boxes never sent out.
