2 UNDR Review: Relief for The Boys!

2 UNDR has changed the underwear game, and for the better.

I’ve said this before in my reviews, but one of the goals of this site is to make people aware about products that I believe offer superior quality, and are worth your money.

Today I’d like to tell you about something that has been a real game changer for me:

It’s undies.

I have found underwear that has literally improved the quality of my life (and helped me feel more comfortable on the golf course!). That might sound a little melodramatic to you, but here’s my thinking behind why.

There are only a few products that are with you for long stretches of time that can affect the quality of your life. Here are a few that fall into that category for me:

  • Socks – They’re on your feet for possibly 14 – 24 hours a day (unless you are constantly wearing sandals)
  • Mattress – Hopefully you are spending about 8 hours a night on this
  • Phone – Sadly for some of us, all day long
  • Computer – repeat last line

Last, but possibly the most important, are underwear. They are on your body almost 24 hours a day.

I’m going to offer a disclaimer before we continue.

I’m going to use multiple versions of euphemisms for your man parts with the help of websites like Dicktionary and Sicktionary (stalwarts of decency on the internet). If you happen to be female, or don’t want to hear these things, then it might be time to click away. I felt it was the only honest way I could write this article, and describe just why this product is so great.

For the last two months I have been wearing two pairs of underwear from a Canadian company called 2 UNDR, which is somewhat of a double entendre that refers to your bean pods and the golf score you wish you could be shooting.

For years I have been wearing the same Hanes cotton boxer/briefs. To be honest I didn’t realize how badly I had been suffering until I started wearing 2 UNDR. I’ll get into the gory details of why later in the article.

To put it simply though…

If you want ultimate comfort for your pants snake and the area surrounding it, these underwear can offer something you may have never felt before.

Why are 2 UNDR different?

Most underwear that men wear are cotton. It’s the most versatile material out there in terms of clothing, and offers reasonable pricing for the quality.

However, there are severe limitations of what cotton can do for temperature and moisture control when you get to the area surrounding your down-under region.

As a man, you know there are multiple reasons why moisture can enter your underwear, and the main culprit is usually the dreaded swampiness. I won’t get into other reasons for wetness occurring, you can use your imagination.

The problem with this, or any other kind of sweat down there, is that once cotton gets wet it usually stays wet. You’re stuck sitting in your pool of nastiness because there was no vehicle to prevent it or to wick the moisture away once it’s occurred.

2 UNDR seeks to solve this problem with a unique blend of materials and design features that no other pair of undies has. You can find out more about the particulars on their site, but I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that they work extremely well.

The material is supremely comfortable, keeps you cool, and best of all prevents moisture from occurring. If it does, then it won’t stay around for long compared with cotton.

It’s absolutely incredible, and you won’t believe it until you try a pair.

The Joey Pouch

The design feature that separates 2 UNDR from many of the other performance companies out there is a patent-pending innovation called the Joey Pouch. It’s a pocket where your Slick Dilly and Hairy Space Hoppers reside.

The whole point of the Joey Pouch is to make sure that your Fun Gun and Clockweights don’t come into contact with your other skin down there. This is why heat and chafing occur, and if you can limit any interaction you’ll sweat less.

I’ll admit that stowing the Beef Baton and Cobblers (OK I’m getting carried away now) in there for the first few times took some getting used to, but this design actually works.

The Joey Pouch is a dry, cool place that protects you from overheating. They also have something called a “No-Drip Tip” that helps wick away moisture from any accidents that might occur throughout the day. You know what I’m talking about…

Why My Life is Better

On a serious note, I have struggled for years from discomfort with my boxer briefs, and never really did anything about it.

They would bunch up, get wet from sweating, and over time lose their fit after multiple washes. I felt it was time to do something about it. I am approaching my mid 30s quickly, and don’t want to spend the rest of my life literally sweating my balls off (for lack of a better term).

I’ve been wearing these underwear for the last two months, and every day that they fall back into rotation is a good one. I’m noticeably more comfortable than with my other boxer briefs, and I really have no choice but to convert my whole drawer over to 2 UNDR.

I’m going to warn you that if you try them out, you’ll probably feel the same way. If you do a quick Google search of other reviews and testimonials, you’ll find much of the same sentiment out there.

I almost forgot, this is a golf site...

I’ve played about 5 rounds in them, and as you would expect the comfort has transferred over to the course. But I wouldn’t just buy these to play golf in, you are going to want to make them part of your everyday life.

2 UNDR has four different models, and I tried out the Gearshift and Swingshift versions.

It’s hard to decide which one I like more, so I’ll tell you my perception of the difference between the two.

The Gearshift are a more athletic/compression fit. They’re a bit tighter (not uncomfortable), and I believe hold up a bit better to more strenuous activity. They are also a joy to wear all day long in normal circumstances.

The Swingshift are a little softer and not as tight. They might be a bit more appropriate for a round of golf, but that’s just a matter of opinion.

Either way, choosing between the two is like picking your favorite child. You might have some tendencies in the back of your head, but I really can’t say we’ve got a clear-cut winner.

As you would expect, 2 UNDR is a premium product and there is premium pricing. You can’t get all of these enhanced design features and quality materials for the same price of crappy underwear you’re going to buy at Walmart.

Many of their offerings retail in the $30 range so it’s a serious investment, but don’t you want the best for your boys?

Be careful though, if you try one pair out it probably won’t be your last!
