The Linksoul Holiday Gift Guide

Many of you are in holiday gift-shopping mode right now (and gently nudging loved ones to buy things for you). In this article, I’ll give you some gift ideas from my favorite clothing brand Linksoul. Over the past few years, they have entirely taken over my closet, and since I’m wearing something from them almost every day on and off the course.

The reason I’m such a big fan of their line is that they have a wide selection of clothes that can be worn on and off the golf course. While it’s inspired by golf culture, they’ve become a pretty popular lifestyle brand even amongst people who have never picked up a golf club.
I’ll give you some of my favorite picks from multiple categories. Also, Practical Golf readers get the largest publicly available discount on their clothes. Just use code PRACTICALGOLF at checkout to snag 20% off.
Hybrid Messenger Bag
Linksoul recently built out a luggage line, which includes an interesting backpack/messenger bag hybrid. My old backpack was in desperate need of replacement, and this has filled the void nicely.
As usual, I was impressed with the quality of the canvas and leather materials they used. Also, I think it fits in with the brand’s “sophisticated casual” look that I’ve come to love. There’s plenty of storage room and various compartments. So you can pack up your laptop, and plenty of stuff for a day-long journey.
One unique characteristic that sets the bag apart is that it can function as a backpack or a messenger bag.
If you take a look at the video, you can see that moving a couple of straps around completely changes the carrying style – a nice little bonus for those who like both types of bags.
Overall, Linksoul did a great job transitioning the look and quality of their clothes to this bag, along with some of the other items in the luggage line.
TRUE X Linksoul Slip-On Shoe
If you’ve been paying attention over the last couple of years, you’ve seen a couple of neat collaborations between Linksoul and my favorite footwear brand TRUE Linkswear. The first iterations were alternate designs of the popular TRUE Knits, which I’ve written about before on the site.
The Linksoul Slip-On Shoes are their first original design, and I love the way they turned out.
I’ve worn these shoes with jeans, or even more formal looking pants. The suede finish gives them a reasonably versatile style so you could wear them to work, or in plenty of other scenarios.
As is the norm with all TRUE Linkswear shoes, they’ve very comfortable (and quite lightweight). The tread on the bottom is the same as the TL-01, so you could wear them on the golf course if you choose. Lastly, the elastic band near the top allows you to adjust tightness quite easily, which was a nice feature for someone who has wide feet like me.
Overall, these are a great casual shoe that you can match with several different styles. I like where these collaborations are going between the two companies, and looking forward to seeing what else is planned.
Some Other Notable Releases
When Linksoul’s fall line first came out, I got their new hoodie featuring Polartec fabric. It’s part of their new partnership with the outwear brand, and available on their rain suits and pullovers.
The hoodie is incredibly soft and comfortable. I’ve mostly worn it while lounging around the house as the temperature has dropped. The Polartec lining gives the hoodie plenty of warmth while still maintaining a thin and light feel. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect hoodie, this one will impress you.
If wool sweaters are your thing, the Flecked Henley and Cardigan caught my attention as well.
Lastly, the Codura jacket is another interesting collaboration. It’s lined with a soft flannel layer with a rugged nylon exterior from a fabric company called Codura. One thing that’s always impressed me with Linksoul’s outerwear is that they source better materials that stand up to the elements.
