Indiana golf courses feature the variety of natural landscapes that The Hoosier State has to offer. There are over 530 golf courses in Indiana to choose from. Overall, there is a great collection of public golf courses.

French Lick Resort (French Lick, Indiana)

You can’t talk about Indiana golf courses without mentioning the famed French Lick Resort. Simply put, this is one of the greatest golfing destinations in the entire world. The property features designs from Pete Dye, Donald Ross, and Tom Bendelow. There are four courses to choose from, and it is easily one of the best places to go for a golf trip. This should be at the top of your list!

Brickyard Crossing (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Brickyard Crossing has been recognized as one of the top public courses in the United States and is another Pete Dye masterpiece. Located next to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, four of the holes are actually adjacent to the race track. It has hosted many prestigious tournaments during its storied career. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better course in the Indianapolis area that is open to the public.

Prairie View (Carmel, Indiana)

If you want to play a course that pays homage to Indiana’s rich history of beautiful farmland, then you should visit the Praire View Golf Club. This is the only Robert Trent Jones Jr. design in the state, and he did an amazing job with the 200-acre property located in Hamilton County. You will see many artifacts from the properties early 19th-century history, which makes this a unique golfing experience. Overall, this is one of the great public courses in Indiana and it is worth the trip.

Warren Golf Course (South Bend, Indiana)

If you are going to visit Notre Dame to catch a football game, then you should definitely book a tee time at their Warren Golf Course. This Coore & Crenshaw Design is one of the best University courses in the entire country and will host the 2019 U.S. Senior Open. It is easily one of the best values for Indiana golf courses with greens fees ranging from $36-$50.

Rock Hollow (Peru, Indiana)

Rounding out our list of top Indiana golf courses is Rock Hollow. This is another classic course that takes full advantage of the state’s natural landscape. They have some of the more dramatic views out there, and it is why they have been ranked one of the top public facilities since opening in 1995.
