The Best Colorado Springs Golf Courses You Should Be Playing

colorado springs golf courses

Colorado Springs golf courses have become a destination for those seeking beautiful layouts. 75 miles south of Denver, the city of Colorado Springs, best known as the location of the Air Force Academy, has become known to locals and tourists alike as a great place to play eighteen holes.

Our guide will give you some of the best public courses you can’t miss in the area. Additionally, we have a full listing of every Colorado Springs golf course in our map directory.

Patty Jewett Golf Course

Nestled within the city limits, Patty Jewett offers the best combination of affordable green fees and amazing views of Colorado Springs. It has been a fixture in the community since 1898. Always in pristine shape and with immaculate greens, the course offers a challenging, yet rewarding experience. Green fees with a cart rental will cost less than $40, a steal for the weekend warrior. Plus your entire round will be in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Bring your camera, it will be well worth it.

Pine Creek Golf Course

Another gem among Colorado Springs golf courses is the Pine Creek Golf Course. A mile east off Interstate 25, Pine Creek offers a terrific value for a flawless layout that is highly regarded among local players. Fees for a cart rental are under $60 during the prime season of summer. With spectacular weather, you won’t have a better time playing at this high-quality Colorado Springs golf course. Featuring challenging elevation changes, this course offers unique shot-making experiences you can’t get anywhere else.

The Broadmoor Resort

The crown jewel of the area is located west of town at The Broadmoor Resort. The resort features three courses but it is the East course that gets all the publicity and for good reason. Over the years the historic East course has hosted U.S. Women and Senior Open championships. For Colorado Springs golf courses, the eighteen holes at the East is as good as it gets.

Open to the public, green fees to the East layout range from a daytime fee of $280 to a twilight fee that is a more digestible $155. Even if you’re not looking to play a full round, head out to The Broadmoor to hit balls at their first-rate practice facility.

King’s Deer Golf Club

If you are looking for high-quality golf that is just a few minutes outside of Colorado Springs then you should check out the King’s Deer Golf Club. Located just north of Colorado Springs, in the suburb of Monument, this links-style course is in a wide open area filled with picturesque views and remains one of the more underrated courses in the state. Fees start around $50 and tumble as the day grows longer. I cannot overstate what a value this course is for the money.

Shining Mountain Golf Club

The suburb of Woodland Park, northwest of the city, has a magnificent course to add to the fine stable of Colorado Springs golf courses. Shining Mountain Golf Club has one of the most beautiful layouts coupled with fees that start at $40. Golf Digest named this unique club, with a full golf disc layout, as one of the courses you should play in the area.
